Maximum of 1 Person per session
This One to One half day course is open to beginners to glassblowing and individuals who already have some skills in glassblowing and would like to develop them further. This session can be tailored to the participant’s interests and level of ability within the half day time available.
With our guidance we will teach you to manipulate, shape and blow the glass with a number of different colouring and patterning techniques which will assist you in creating a vessel form. However, if you would prefer to focus on a particular aspect or trend we can accommodate this as well.
You will begin by making a glass caterpillar then a paperweight, building up to a bauble. As this is a One to One session there will also be time to create a blown vessel form - usually either a small vase, bowl or drinking tumbler.
During this session you will have the undivided attention of one of our glassblowers who will teach you as many techniques as possible within the time allowed.
All health and safety equipment will be provided for you.
Please note : the items you make will need sufficient time to cool down properly which requires time overnight in the kiln. Your items can be collected the following day or delivery can be arranged.
